Lyrebird Community Centre is a not for profit, community based organisation. We are independently overseen by a Board of Management which is made up of a diverse range of volunteers from the community. The Board of Management is the responsible body that works as a team, together with the Centre Manager, to establish policies and procedures that ensure the Centre continues to provide viable programs relevant to the growing needs of the community. The Centre offers a range of programs and activities for all ages including Education, Computers, Children’s Services, Recreation Activities, Support Groups and Information as well as being supportive to all.
We are located within the Frankston City Council. The Centre is part of the South East Victorian Region of Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) and is a Learn Local Provider. The Centre’s childcare is licensed as a Limited Hours Type 2 service and complies with the Children’s Services Regulations 2009 and Children’s Services Act 1996.
